Mediation in Eldercare
The interests and wishes of our elders present unique challenges, especially when they have diminishing capacities. Elders may feel vulnerable; families and guardians may feel protective. Caregivers may want to do the right thing, but feel they are tiptoeing in a minefield with every decision.
Mediation can help families and caregivers collaborate to make sure all available resources are employed to honor and respect elders and their wishes, while addressing the concerns of caregivers and others to safeguard the elder’s safety and security.
BioLaw Ethics Institute offers mediation and dispute resolution services to continuum-of-care facilities. We also provide mediation services to families, conservators and guardians. We will include medical, legal, financial and other caregivers whose services are requested, as each elder’s unique needs require.
BioLaw Ethics Institute provides the above mediation and conflict resolution services.
We can also train your staff to offer these services. Institute members receive additional services,
training or discounts. See Membership for details.
